ABOUT CIDER

Cider is the international term for a fermented alcoholic beverage made from apple juice. It represents a distinct category of drink with a rich diversity of styles and flavors, on par with the breadth seen in beer, wine, rum, or whiskey.

There are numerous methods for producing cider, and they vary from region to region around the world. The history of ciders is incredibly rich worldwide. However, the production of fruit wines today demands both knowledge and experience, and different ciders involve various technological processes.

HOW MALNER CIDER IS MADE

  1. Throughout the year, we invest significant hours in the orchard, allowing nature to provide us with the highest quality apples.
  2. We pay exceptional attention to the selection of varieties for cider production, from the quantity of fruit on the tree to multiple pickings and appropriate ripeness, as all of this affects the content of aromas, sugars, minerals in the apples, and consequently, the taste.
  3. After harvesting, the apples are sorted, washed, crushed, and pressed into juice.
  4. This is followed by the first fermentation of the apple juice into apple wine.
  5. The apple wine then matures for at least six months.
  6. The second fermentation occurs when apple juice and yeast are added to the apple wine, contributing specific aromas, flavor, and natural effervescence.
  7. The process concludes with bottling under pressure to preserve the naturally acquired bubbles in the bottles.

Our production emerged as a result of passionate pursuit of a authentic product, with the most natural flavors and high quality. We've taken the best from the world of wine and created a local craft cider with character.

THE STORY OF MALNER CIDER

As far back as 1989, our parents planted their first apple trees. We spent a significant part of our childhood and youth in the orchard.
